Michelle Verkh-Kent is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ San Diego office. Her practice focuses on professional liability matters.
Ms. Verkh-Kent has litigation experience focusing on medical malpractice, products liability, and personal injury. Representative clients include doctors, ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, and physician groups. Ms. Verkh-Kent also has extensive experience in advising corporate clients on compliance matters involving the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Department of Public Health, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, Prescription Drug Marketing Act, Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, False Claims Act, Affordable Care Act, and Mental Health Parity Laws/Equal Coverage Laws. She also has experience in drafting, negotiating, and amending Clinical Trial Agreements, Vendor Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Distribution Agreements, and Manufacturing Agreements for pharmaceutical companies.
Ms. Verkh-Kent obtained her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008. She served on the UC Hastings Moot Court Intercollegiate Competition Team, where she was a National Semifinalist and won Honorable Mention, Best Appellate Brief and Best Oral Argument. She obtained her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2003, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In her free time, Ms. Verkh-Kent enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys traveling and snorkeling.
