Melissa Mandel
Melissa Mandel is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Jacksonville office. Her practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury defense, medical malpractice defense, negligent security defense, the defense of entity defendants where sexual torts are alleged, including sexual assault, and complex commercial litigation.
Ms. Mandel has extensive litigation experience, including representing individuals and businesses in state courts throughout Florida and in federal district courts. Ms. Mandel finds novel legal arguments and has been extremely successful in positioning cases for summary judgment. She is also adept at stepping into large cases late in the litigation process and providing extensive evaluations and readying the cases for a trial and a successful outcome.
Ms. Mandel obtained her J.D. from the University of Florida in 2006, where she served on the Florida Moot Court Board and graduated with distinction. She obtained her B.A. from the University of North Florida in 2003, where she participated in the Political Science and Psychology Program and graduated with distinction.
In her free time, Ms. Mandel enjoys enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
