Linda Sinclair is an AV rated Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ San Diego office. Her practice focuses primarily on general and complex business litigation, intellectual property, real estate, and professional liability matters.
Ms. Sinclair has successfully resolved a variety of cases via summary judgment, including a complex business case where multiple plaintiffs sued their insurer for breach of contract and fraud after settling their claims, contending they were forced to sign releases under economic duress; and personal injury cases involving major brain trauma, loss of limb, and avascular necrosis. Ms. Sinclair handled several major licensing matters on behalf of a Fortune 500 company. Ms. Sinclair’s appellate experience includes representing the prevailing parties in Scharer v. San Luis Rey Equine Hospital, et al., (2012) 204 Cal.App.4th 421; Carretti v. Italpast (2002) 101 Cal.App.4th 1236; S & W Seed Co. v. Mutual Service Casualty Ins. Co., et al., 2005 WL3476525 (unpublished); and LeBeau v. Roxane Laboratories, Inc., et al., 2003 WL21054640 (unpublished).
Ms. Sinclair earned her B.A. in 1986 from The University of Texas at Arlington and her J.D. in 1989 from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989. She is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the U.S. Tax Court.
In her free time, Ms. Sinclair enjoys activities with family and friends, and volunteering with nonprofit and governmental organizations serving the needs of animal rescue, adult literacy, and housing.
