Joseph J. Minioza

Joseph J. (“J.J.”) Minioza is a Partner at Tyson & Mendes’ Northern California office.  He brings over 20 years of experience to the firm. His practice focuses on general liability, habitability, employment, elder abuse, D&O, E&O, appellate, and wage and hour cases.

Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Mr. Minioza served as president of a California firm, as well as a Managing Partner.  Mr. Minioza has tried 38 trials to verdict with a 98% success rate.  His trials have included real estate, products liability, personal injury, employment, breach of contract, and construction defect cases.  He is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell, and Thomson Reuters has recognized him as a Super Lawyer yearly since 2013.  In addition, Mr. Minioza has been selected as one of America’s Top 100 Civil Defense Litigators® since 2020, an honor awarded to 100 attorneys in California each year.

Mr. Minioza obtained his J.D. from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law.  He obtained his B.A. from the University of California, Davis, where he majored in History and Political Science.

In his free time, Mr. Minioza enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and golfing.
