John Stiglich is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Diego office. He works on a multi-attorney litigation team focusing on medical malpractice and personal injury matters.
Prior to obtaining his law license, Mr. Stiglich clerked for Tyson & Mendes for over 2.5 years, where he drafted discovery and procedural motions for a wide variety of personal injury and insurance defense cases. He assisted veteran attorneys at the firm during deposition and other trial preparation matters. Mr. Stiglich also conducted extensive legal research and is adept in drafting memorandums that are frequently incorporated into various documents filed with the court.
Mr. Stiglich obtained his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in May 2020 and his B.A. from the University of Oregon, where he completed a double major in Political Science and History and was selected for the Dean’s List. While in law school, he graduated in the top 30% of his class and received the Cali Excellence for Future Award in Tort Law. Mr. Stiglich also performed research on limited liability corporations, which was included in a textbook publication by Professor Mark Lee of the University of San Diego. Additionally, he completed nearly 100 hours of pro-bono legal work at the University of San Diego’s Veterans Legal Clinic, where he helped veterans draft and prepare legal documents to upgrade their service benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
In his free time, Mr. Stiglich enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys learning to golf, reading about international affairs, going on hikes with his dog, and watching Portland Trailblazers basketball.
