Gregory M. Alvarez is a Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Orange County office. Mr. Alvarez’s practice primarily focuses on retail defense, business litigation, construction defect, and general liability matters.
Mr. Alvarez has represented a wide variety of clients, including individuals, local business owners, and contractors, as well as international manufacturers in product liability actions. His clients consistently rely on him to accurately gauge and limit any potential exposure and to proactively maximize their potential for success. He has experience with multi-party litigation and has achieved positive results for his clients inside and outside the courtroom through informal negotiations, dispositive motions, mediation, and trial.
Mr. Alvarez was born and raised in southern California and attended the University of California, Irvine where he majored in Political Science. During and after college, Mr. Alvarez worked for several film and television production companies. He also spent considerable time working as a stage manager on live action shows and traveled with the productions both nationally and internationally. During this time, Mr. Alvarez obtained a M.F.A. from Chapman University. Looking for a new challenge, Mr. Alvarez attended Penn State, The Dickinson School of Law where he obtained his J.D. During law school, he served as a member of the Student Bar Association and was an editor of the Journal of American Arbitration. He is licensed to practice in the state of Calfornia and the Central District Federal Court.
In his free time, Mr. Alvarez enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors. He is also an avid football and baseball fan.
