Elizabeth Dimaano is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Diego office, where her practice focuses on general liability and employment-related claims. Ms. Dimaano has experience representing individuals, businesses, and insurance companies across Southern California.
Ms. Dimaano began her career with Tyson & Mendes’ Clerkship Program, where she expanded her knowledge and experience in discovery-related matters, drafted persuasive motions and oppositions, and assisted in various trial strategies and preparation. She has drafted responses to motions in limine and petitioned for public agency records. Ms. Dimaano also has experience arguing before the San Diego Superior Court, assisting individuals in reducing felony convictions to misdemeanors and expunging criminal records. She has held many other professional roles, including a clerkship at the United States Attorney’s Office and a judicial externship with the Honorable Judge Anthony J. Battaglia.
Ms. Dimaano earned her J.D. cum laude from California Western School of Law in 2020. While in law school, Ms. Dimaano enjoyed competing in the Appellate Advocacy Program, where she earned accolades such as “Best Brief” award in the UC Davis Asylum and Refugee Law Competition. She also worked on the board of many school organizations, including the Student Bar Association, Pride Law, and Community Law Project.
In her free time, Ms. Dimaano enjoys discovering new music, cycling on the Ocean Beach bike trail, and spending time with family.
