Edward J. Valdespino

Edward J. Valdespino is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office.  His practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury defense, commercial vehicle litigation, premises liability litigation, and general liability litigation.  Mr. Valdespino has extensive litigation experience, with a demonstrated history of efficiently and effectively representing institutional clients and individuals in complex litigation, including insurance coverage and bad faith, complex commercial litigation, general business litigation, premises liability litigation, and securities litigation.

Mr. Valdespino has been extremely successful in disposing of cases through dispositive motions and readying them for trial, including several cases involving high profile sports and entertainment personalities.  He has helped his institutional clients recover millions of dollars wrongfully obtained through life insurance fraud, as well as investigating and advising his clients on fraudulent claims on classic car auto policies.

Mr. Valdespino received his J.D. with honors from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 2010, where he served as an editor on the Texas International Law Journal.  He was a Rapoport Human Rights fellow and worked in Nairobi, Kenya  for the Centre for Governance and Development, drafting anti-corruption legislation.  Mr. Valdespino obtained his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002, where he studied Philosophy and Russian literature.  He is licensed in all state and district courts in California and Texas.

In his free time, Mr. Valdespino enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.  He also enjoys playing music, reading, travelling, and watching soccer.
