Chandra Roam is an Associate in Tyson & Mendes’ San Diego office. Her practice primarily focuses on civil litigation, including commercial and residential construction, general liability, and personal injury.
Ms. Roam has defended a variety of matters across several practice areas, including personal injury litigation, medical malpractice, general commercial liability, administrative proceedings, and in-house transactional work. She has contributed to successful appellate briefs, motions for summary judgment, discovery motions, and favorable settlement outcomes.
Ms. Roam earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University. She is bilingual, speaking English and French fluently. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Roam worked in Paris, France, gaining transactional and international business experience. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she served as a Comment Editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, and the Executive Boards of the Business Law Society and the Environmental Law Society. While in law school, Ms. Roam was a published author in the San Diego International Law Journal. She also worked as a clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California and as an in-house counsel legal intern. Ms. Roam is licensed to practice law in all California state courts and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Phi Beta Phi International Legal Honors Society, and the Tyson & Mendes Young Professionals Committee.
Ms. Roam is a fourth generation Colorado native. In her free time, she enjoys whitewater rafting, snowboarding, outdoor adventuring, and traveling.
