Cassady Toles
Cassady Toles is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Northern California office. His practice focuses primarily on landlord tenant and property liability issues.
Mr. Toles brings more than 10 years of experience to the firm, and his work reflects experience across numerous legal fields, including General Counsel at a tech startup and a Deputy Public Defender.Thanks to his time as General Counsel, he has a particular knack for technology and emergent regulatory issues. In addition, during his time as Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Toles tried three life sentence defenses and avoided conviction on the most serious charges in all three cases. In addition, during his legal career, he previously tried and obtained a full defense verdict for a landlord client in a personal injury case and has fought and won hundreds of thousands of dollars in settlements and judgments representing Federal Employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Toles has been admitted to practice law in both state and federal courts in California as well as the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in D.C.
Mr. Toles obtained his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where he earned numerous academic honors and a Dean’s Scholarship. He obtained his B.A. in Dramatic Art from the University of California, where he received multiple Mark Goodson awards and was an Alumni Leadership Scholar. He is a lifetime member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and sits on the Board of the Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment.
Mr. Toles likes to spend his off hours with his family, writing, or working on kinesthetic projects. He celebrated joining the Tyson & Mendes team by building himself a new desk to use when working from home.
