Carlos MacManus is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office. Mr. MacManus works primarily on general liability and personal injury litigation. His legal experience includes complex civil litigation in the areas of general liability, intellectual property, business and contract disputes, and more recently, medical malpractice defense.
Mr. MacManus is an experienced litigator focused on the best interests of his clients and regularly defends the interests of insured parties and insurers with great success. Across varied practice areas, he has successfully litigated numerous cases to trial with favorable results. Mr. MacManus takes pride in his strong law and motion skills. To the point, he has successfully moved for summary judgment many times, achieving dismissals of numerous cases involving personal injury, premises liability, and various business disputes avoiding trial. He has also achieved success in courts of appeal throughout the state of California.
Mr. MacManus has a B.A. in English from Stanford University. He then earned his J.D. cum laude from Whittier Law School in 2007, where he was on the Dean’s List from 2005 to 2007. He received CALI Awards in Bankruptcy Law, Legal Research and Writing, and Trademarks & Unfair Competition Law, and served as editor of the school’s Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts as well as in federal court in the Central District of California.
An avid “foodie”, Mr. MacManus loves cooking and exploring the local culinary landscape as well as live music, playing tennis, and attending film festivals.
