Azadeh Gowharrizi

Azadeh Gowharrizi is Senior Counsel at Tyson & Mendes’ Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on general tort claims, including large catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death claims, premises liability, and product liability actions.
Ms. Gowharrizi has extensive experience litigating cases in both federal and state courts throughout California. Prior to joining Tyson & Mendes, Ms. Gowharrizi was an associate at a top ranked international law firm, where her practice primarily focused on defending corporations and its officers and directors in complex business litigation, securities matters, and regulatory investigations. She regularly defeated lawsuits, including class actions, with dispositive motions. Moreover, Ms. Gowharrizi has significant mediation experience, having resolved over 300 disputes as a mediator for the Superior Court of Los Angeles. In addition, Ms. Gowharrizi has served as an administrative hearing officer for the City of Santa Monica and as adjunct faculty at USC Gould School of Law, teaching courses in legal research and writing.
Ms. Gowharrizi graduated from Stanford Law School with pro bono distinction, where she served as Articles Editor on the Stanford Law Review. She obtained her B.A. in International Relations summa cum laude from the University of Southern California.
A native Angeleno, Ms. Gowharrizi enjoys exploring new places with her husband and two children. Her favorite pastimes include reading, rock climbing, and playing with her rescue dog, Wit.
