Audree L. Maldonado - Senior Counsel

Audree L. Maldonado is Senior Counsel in Tyson & Mendes’ New York office.  Her practice focuses on defending individual, private, and municipal entities in complex high exposure personal injury and commercial matters in New York State Court.  Ms. Maldonado possesses a diverse litigation background, including representing defendants in construction, premises, employment discrimination, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty matters.

Ms. Maldonado aims to provide a vigorous defense to achieve swift and effective resolution for all clients.  In personal injury matters, she prioritizes immediate post-accident investigation, which is essential to building a strong defense for mediation and/or trial.  In commercial matters, she excels at factual and document investigation, which has resulted in successful pre-answer dispositive motions.  She is also adept at executing all phases of discovery, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and preparing cases for trial.

Ms. Maldonado obtained her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2012, where she served on the New York International Law Journal and had the esteemed privilege of interning for the Honorable Reinaldo Rivera of the New York State Appellate Division Second Judicial Department.  She also attended St. John’s University, where she obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and English studies.  She graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the President’s Society.  Ms. Maldonado was selected as Student Speaker at graduation, where she also received the St. Vincent DePaul Medal for her academic achievement and commitment to community service.  She is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.

In her free time, Ms. Maldonado enjoys prioritizing health and fitness, including hikes, yoga, and cycling.  She also enjoys spending time with her family, baseball, and traveling.
