Araba Panford is Senior Counsel at Tyson Mendes’ Las Vegas office. Since passing the Nevada Bar, Ms. Panford represents insured individuals and businesses in personal injury, premises liability, directors & officers liability, errors and omissions, coverage litigation, and construction defect litigation. Ms. Panford has worked for private firms and as field counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.
Ms. Panford has obtained defense verdicts in slip and fall cases and car accidents with contested liability. As field counsel, she obtained a favorable arbitration decision in a case in which she also successfully argued to keep the case in the court mandated arbitration program with damages capped at $50,000, although plaintiff alleged over $300,000 in medical specials. Additionally, she has successfully negotiated and settled several cases for less than the damages asserted.
Ms. Panford received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in African-American Studies, from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her J.D. and International Law Certificate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, in 2008. While pursuing a J.D., Ms. Panford handled cases through the Criminal Defense Clinic at Loyola. After completing law school, she moved to Las Vegas and was admitted to the Nevada Bar in 2008. She is also a member of the Massachusetts bar.
Ms. Panford spends her free time being entertained by her dog and binging Netflix series. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and loves to travel and experience new cultures.
