Background
Information
Jennifer Morgan Ford graduated from the New England
School of Law in 2004, where she was on the Dean’s List
and an editor for the New England Journal on Civil and
Criminal Confinement. She graduated magna cum laude
from Regis College in 2000, with a degree in Political
Science and Economics. Ms. Ford is admitted to
the California, Southern District of California, and
Massachusetts Bars. She has practical litigation
experience including defending personal injury,
professional liability, and homeowner's liability
matters in state and federal court. Ms. Ford also
specializes in defending dog bite cases. Ms. Ford is
the firm's reigning karaoke queen.
Attorney
Accomplishments

Ellis v.
Jackson DeMarco: A $200,000,000 legal malpractice class
action in San Diego involving city and police officer
pensions. Jennifer is defending an attorney in this high
profile, complex, multi-party lawsuit.

Stratton
v. Ramona Legacy One, LLC: Significant dog bite injury
case in which one plaintiff lost his thumb, the other
plaintiff nearly lost four toes, and medical bills were
in excess of $100,000. Settled on behalf of client for
$2,000 total.

Averill
v. City of Los Angeles, et al.: A trip and fall case in
which plaintiff tripped on a raised sidewalk outside of
our client's home. The case was settled for waiver of
costs.

Soro v.
Topp, et al.: Traffic accident resulting in serious
injuries to plaintiff, including dislocated hip and
brain injury. Plaintiff accused Jennifer’s client of
drinking and driving the car in which he was a passenger
when it was hit by another drunk driver. Established
evidence that Jennifer’s client was not in the car, let
alone driving when the accident occurred. Medical bills
were in excess of $100,000. Settled for Jennifer’s
client for waiver of costs.

Rouse v.
Loja, et al: Dog bite case in which plaintiff accused
Jennifer’s client, the property owner, of negligence
related to a dog bite from a tenant's dog. Jennifer’s
CCP 998 for waiver of costs was accepted on the eve of
her hearing for Summary Judgment.

UM
Amrekhasadeh: first party claim dropped after getting
claimant to admit in deposition the "phantom vehicle"
never touched her car prior to claimant losing control
of her vehicle.

Holderness v. Jarvis, et al.: Plaintiffs dismissed their
claims against Jennifer’s client with prejudice after
she established that the client acted within the sudden
emergency doctrine after stopping for a deer which
entered roadway. The responsible driver was under the
influence of drugs when she swerved into oncoming
traffic.

Numerous
breach of contract, real estate, collections, and other
business lawsuits successfully litigated.

Jennifer
was trial counsel with the Norfolk County District
Attorney's Office. She second chaired a jury trial for a
DUI case and also prosecuted a drug possession charge
with an intent to distribute.

Jennifer
was trial counsel with Tyson & Mendes regarding a
subrogation matter in Riverside. She was able to reduce
damages claimed by the plaintiff significantly.
