Civil Litigation Firm Tyson & Mendes LLP Expands Denver Office: Partner Jacob Felderman Relocates to Exclusively Serve Colorado

DENVER (Jan. 3, 2017) – Tyson & Mendes, one of the country’s fastest growing legal defense firms, is expanding its Denver office with the relocation of partner Jacob Felderman, who will handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation throughout the state of Colorado. The firm’s practice areas include construction defect, personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, insurance bad faith, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability and wrongful death lawsuits, and employment law.

Felderman has in-depth experience in a number of practice areas, such as professional liability, premises liability, product liability, and commercial and general civil litigation. He has achieved several significant trial wins during his 15 years of practice, including a favorable jury verdict of just 2 percent of a plaintiff’s final demand in an admitted liability auto accident case, in which the plaintiff claimed life-changing neck and back injuries.

“While we will certainly miss him in our San Diego office, Jacob is the perfect partner to expand our presence in the counties of Colorado,” said Managing Partner Robert Tyson. “He will continue to deliver exceptional results for clients throughout the state and achieve justice for all who require legal representation.”

In addition to his regular civil litigation practice in San Diego, Felderman volunteers as legal counsel to the Allied Climbers of San Diego, where he won a federal administrative appeal against the U.S. Forest Service. The successful appeal will result in opening public lands to responsible recreational user groups, while balancing the need to protect local flora and fauna.

Felderman’s experience extends to multiple aspects of business disputes and litigation. He previously served as general counsel for Hofmann Architecture, advising on all aspects of operation including contract negotiation, claims exposure, employment issues, partnership agreements and general operations. He also taught legal research for LexisNexis at the three San Diego law schools, and served as the legal counsel to National Geographic’s “Valley of the Khans” international expedition, which contributed to the discovery of the lost tomb of the legendary Genghis Khan.

Felderman earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and philosophy at the University of Iowa before moving on to earn his J.D. from the university’s College of Law.
